My Dream Outta This World Holiday
Brring... screamed the alarm. I tried to ignore it. I wanted to stay in my dream. My Outta this world dream holiday.
When I was in Mercury I didn’t know what I was doing there. All I could feel was me floating.
But I wounder why was Venus the hottest planet when Mercury is closest to the sun.
This is my first time being away from home in a very long time. Then I saw my friend called Stephanie. We were both lost So I went to her and asked, “what kind of planet are we in?”. I said we are in the planet Mercury.It is the smallest and closest to the sun.
Thanks To Racheal and helen

“The population of New Zealand is.....?”
“Around four million.”
“A special dish that is eaten in New Zealand is....?”
“Hangi.”
“A famous New Zealander, known all over the world?”
“Jane Campion, a film director.”
“The key player for New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup 2011?”
“Dan Carter.”
“The main playing stripe for the team in 2011?”
“Black and White.”
“Thank you, Mr Ohjarkafupulatriantiwopidot,” I giggled.

Where In The World Is Namibia
Where in the world is NAMIBIA?
Namibia information: http://www.qwiki.com/q/#!/Namibia
Rugby in Namibia: http://www.qwiki.com/q/#!/Namibia_national_rugby_union_team
The Rebels were given a number of names of rugby-playing nations of the world. These were some of the nations that are recognised by the world governing body of Rugby Union, the International Rugby Board (IRB), as member unions but did not qualify for RWC 2011.
We divided them up amongst our team. I was given the nation of Namibia.
This is what I found out:
*You need to finish the sentences below for your blog:
The capital of Namibia is-Windhoek.
Namibia is on the continent of Africa.
The population of Namibia is 2,060,000.

The most favourite sport in Namibia is-football soccer rugby cricket golf
A thing that seems different about Namibia is-Namibia uses the Namibian dollar as its official currency.
You also need to find a picture of the Namibian flag and a picture that helps tell us what the most favourite sport in Namibia.
Namibia Namibia, officially the Republic of Namibia, is a country in southern Africa whose western border is the Atlantic Ocean. It shares land borders with Angola and Zambia to the north, Botswana to the east and South Africa to the south and east. It gained independence from South Africa on March 21, 1990, following the Namibian War of Independence.

Where The Heck Is Manurewa?
>Where The Heck Is Manurewa?
Different Auckland town centres have adopted Rugby teams from countries that qualified for the World Cup.
I found out information about:
The location in Auckland;
Something special about this place;
A 'potted' history of the place;
If it has it's own symbol of some sort. (If we couldn't find a symbol we chose a picture that told more about the place).
Manurewa is the southernmost major suburb of Manukau City, one of the four cities that make up the metropolitan area of Auckland in the North Island of New Zealand. It is located 6km south of the Manukau City Centre, and 26km southeast of the Auckland CBD.
Manurewa is Māori for "drifting kite". The name refers to a kite flying competition where a kite line was severed and drifted away. The kite's owner was the chief Tamapahore who had a pā (fortified village) on Matuku-tururu (Wiri Mountain). The name Manurewa commemorates the incident by the name Te manu rewa o Tamapahore - The drifting kite of Tamapahore.

Doctor John Pemberton-Coca Cola.
Coca-Cola’ was invented by Doctor John Pemberton, a pharmacist (a person who makes medicines). John Pemberton mixed the ‘Coca-Cola’ formula in a three-legged brass kettle in his backyard. The name was a suggestion given by John Pemberton's bookkeeper (a person who works with money and numbers), Frank Robinson.John Pemberton was born on July 8th, 1831 and died in August 16th, 1888 in Knoxville,Georgia. Not much is about his early life. Being a bookkeeper, Frank Robinson also had excellent penmanship. It was he who first scripted "Coca Cola" into the flowing letters which has become the famous logo of today.
1863 physician and chemist Dr.Pemberton develops "Pemberton's French Wine Coca,"
1886 a new formula and a new name is given to Pemberton's beverage that sells for a nickel a glass
1986 Frank M. Robinson, suggested the name and penned the now famous trademark "Coca-Cola"
1985 a new formula for coke is introduced. Citizens of the world say no thanks! Doctor John Pemberton invented ‘Coca-Cola’. This drink is popular all over the world. His formula for a drink that pleases has stood the test of time.

LOOKING FORWARD-LOOKING BACK
Denim
last term
What I liked more about last year was playing games outside with my friends and with my teacher. I also really like doing art and learning heaps and always finishing off my work. We always got to play games on the computer if we finished our work. I really liked listening to music while we doing our work. And also my favourite thing I liked last year was doing my volcano and exploding it with my friend it was really cool I liked it and it was fun too and always going to the pools and going on trips with my class.
What Ididn’t like last year was people being mean to me and me doing what I did last year I hated it last year but I reckon I will do more better this year. And what i really didn’t like last year was moving all our furniture to the juniors side that was hard and tyring i was tired. Then when we finished. Our class had a shared lunch it was cool I was starving we had cake,drinks lollies chips biscuts. It was funny cause I didn’t like the year 8’s mixed up with the year 7’s.

My Letter Home
Dear Dad
How are you? Hope you are well.
I go reading everyday with a reading teacher Miss Allen and I am doing well at reading. We watch PENN we do interviews and put it on PENN my favourite thing to do is to play with my friends my behaviour has sort of been a bit not so good after all and not talking to Mr Harris I feel bad about myself.
“I really like my netbook” its cool because we get to have our own blog and write about things and playing maths games and chat (only when Mr Harris says we can) and get to take photos of our self. Thank you Dad for paying for my netbook.
