Year 8 and 7 Camp

On the last day of camp the year 7 and 8s went to swimmarama to have a swim and have lots of fun the respect squad was the first ones on the hydro slide then after that we all had morning tea we all had biscuits and a fruit when i finished having my morning tea i went to go have a try on the diving board then a few hours after that we all had lunch i had a chicken roll and a chocolate drink. When i finished i went back on the diving pool but this time i went on the high one the after that i we all saw the warriors.

Denim Camp Concert

HOORAY! “Camp Concert tonight!” I yelled excitedly. Respect Crew were the first ones to be in the hall. Then all the other groups came and sat down in their team lines. I saw plenty of parents, kids and teachers in the audience. There were so many people there. Our judges were Shatna, April, and Bruce. The first group to go up on the stage and dance were the Respect Crew. Their dance was totally cool. Then it was my group Respect Squad. When I got up on the stage I was really nervous because there were lots of people. Our group did ‘Poi e’ and ‘Switch’. I was laughing at how my group was dancing.

Then when ‘Poi e’ finished we did ‘Switch’. We were supposed to walk of with Switch and say “Respect Squad” but then I found out that we didn’t walk off and say Respect Squad. When we finished our dance Mr Barks handed out some awards. Then after he handed the awards out the next group was next i liked there one abit then Mr Barks handed out some more awards when all the groups finished there dancing and Mr Barks handing out awards it was time to go to bed for Wednesday.

Denim Highlight for camp

As i got up i saw out the window a bright blue preiouse skie i got out of bed strated getting my stuff in to the car and strated crusing down to school. As i got there i put my stuff in the hall and went and played with my friends. Then we started getting off to do our activities.My favourite activitie yesterday was food prep and my highlight today was rollerblading.

The Picnic

On a bright sunny day Pt England School had a picnic Mr Burt said if it was gonna rain we weren’t gonna go but we got good luck and it wasn’t raining.Then Pt England School had to walk to the hall so Mr Burt could talk about our boundaries Mr Burt saw plenty of helpers he was pleased.Then we all started cruising down to Pt England Reserve. Then when we got there we all had to sit down in our class lines but the grass was to wet. After Mr Burt talked about where we are suppose to be we all headed to our picnic spot.


The year 7 and 8s had our morning tea as well as the little kids to then when everybody had enough of there morning tea we all picked what we wanted to play. There was kids playing Volley ball,NFL,softball,rugby,tiggy,cricket and Touch. I was just relaxing down by my picnic spot with my friends. Then a few minutes after that i saw the little year 5s having a swim in the beach i saw some kids making hearts out of sand. and fish out of sand and shells as well the water just looked stunning. Then i heard some loud music coming from small Mr Jacobson.





I was bored so i sat near the speaker where the music was coming from because my favourite song was on it was My Baby by Peter T Lesley,Tofate,cael,David,Cecilia,hainite all was there singing. Then it played again so we sang it one more time then I left and i went to play with Isiah we were playing with the tennis ball and the racket.Then i few minutes after that i saw the year 7 and 8s in the beach it was solid.


I was just playing Volley ball with my friends on the beach cause i didn’t want to have a swim. Then we all went to get a fruit cause we were hungry for a fruit i grabbed a apple David grabbed a banana and Cael grabbed a plum we had some funny expressions there. I felt happy that i was playing with my best friends.

Then a few hours after that me and my friends went back to our picnic spot and had a chat about some things. We were playing some games and then it came to karaoke we only could play one song because it was starting to pour down. Then P.E.S was getting ready to go back to school when we all got back to school we all headed back to our class rooms.


Our classroom got to go on our netbooks cause we had to wait till the bell rang. We got to have free time on our netbooks. But then we all had to pack up because the bell was nearly gonna ring. WOW THAT WAS SO FUN.

The Treaty Of Waitangi

On the 6th February 1840, the Treaty of Waitangi was signed at Waitangi in the Bay of Islands. James Busby was regarded as the father of the Australian wine industry. But he was in NZ to help set up a treaty between Maori and Pakeha.

Henry Williams was a missionary who changed the English version of the treaty into Maori. Hone Heke was a Maori Rangitira (chief) and was leader in Northern New Zealand.

Protection, Partnership, Participation were used to bring the Maori and Pakeha altogether. The treaty was all about these 3 things. The chiefs were only over-protective of their land and treasures.

Protection means protecting someone.
Partnership means two people as partners working together.
Participation means joining in.

My Nephews 1st

As I got out of bed I heard this loud noise coming from the second room so I got out of bed and went and had a look. It was my family saying happy birthday to my nephew because it was his 1st birthday. So a few seconds after that we all started cruising down to the ferry in the city. We were in Rarotonga on holiday. We all got out of the car and walked down to the ferry. I got to the ferry first. When I got on there I sat down on the chair.

A few hours after that we finally got to my Nana’s house. There were heaps of people there like my Nana, my Papa and my cousins. They were all happy that I was there because they haven’t seen me for quite a long time. And I really really miss my Nana and Papa. A few hours after that we all had a swim and I saw dolphins... they were nice. One of my cousins had a ride on the dolphin and it looked pretty cool. I didn’t want to because it looked scary so I got out of the water.

Then I went to get change because it was cold. My mum and aunties were setting the birthday up. While my nephew was with my dad getting some lollies,drinks and chips. By the time they got back all the kids were playing kinect. I was just helping my mum set up the birthday. When me and my mum and Aunty finished setting up the birthday we called all the kids and family in. To sing the happy birthday then we had a big feed and we all went back in to the water it was cool. I had a great time at the birthday. HORRAY for my nephew.

Denim Aliens

This Term room 19 have been making Aliens out of paper mache room 19 have been working very hard on those paper mache and we have been drawing what where gonna make for our paper mache. the alien that I'm gonna make is a one headed alien with antennas.I have nearly finished my alien. Hope you enjoy!!!
